The company
In 1961 Anton Slagboom founded the company Slagboom Luchtfotografie in Vlissingen. This company name was later changed to Slagboom en Peeters Luchtfotografie. Initially, oblique shots were made for clients in the Netherlands and Belgium. With the purchase of their own aircraft, they could also start carrying out photo flights for the purpose of mapping.
In the early days (1961-1980) Slagboom en Peeters was located in Zeeland, and flights were made from Midden-Zeeland airport and Antwerp. In 1980 the company moved to the more centrally located Teuge, from where the Dutch projects were easier to reach and with lower flight costs. In the last 15 years the working area of Slagboom en Peeters has expanded to the rest of Europe, Africa, the Middle East and Asia. However, the basis remains the Dutch home market.
Efficient
With the office and hangar next to each other Slagboom and Peeters can efficiently coordinate the collection and production. This is an important factor to guarantee a reliable delivery. All the processes are done in-house. Planning, preperation, scanning and processing of aerial photography into dimensionally stable orthos; it is carried out by experienced personell who regularly undergo in-house training. This guarantees the quality of the end product and allows for quick response toe new develepments.
The central location and the large fleet of aircraft are necessary to be able to respond to the erratic Dutch weather conditions. The staff of Slagboom and Peeters are mostly permanent employees who have a lot of experience and a good track record. During the season these people are on standby 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to be able to use all suitable flying hours.
