LiDAR
More accurate than a photogrammetric point cloud: look through the vegetation.
LiDAR: The term LiDAR stands for Light Detection And Ranging. By means of laser pulses, the distance to a certain object or surface is determined. The emitted laser pulses are recorded again by means of reflection. The laser is able to see through various layers of vegetation and only stops on the ground or on an object. This makes LiDAR much more accurate than a photogrammetric point cloud. The LiDAR point cloud of Slagboom and Peeters has a high point density of an average of 18 points per m2 and a high accuracy of 5 cm.
The LiDAR point clouds gives us the possibility to make a very accurate surface calculation for the WOZ. In addition the LIDAR point cloud offers you an infinite number of possibilities such as performing measurements (mapping) making cross-sections, vegetation detection and analyses. Important for municipalities is that surfaces can also be calculated for, for example, WOZ and BGT processes. You can also perform various impact analyses such as wind and water simulations (flood prevention).
The LiDAR point cloud is delivered in a . LAS format which gives you the possibility to use it in any CAD or BIM application! Other output formats are also possible such as DEM/DSM. In addition, the LiDAR point cloud can also be classified by us.
LiDAR and 3D Geo-oblique
You can also choose to combine the oblique images and the LiDAR point cloud into a photorealistic 3D model.
Slagboom en Peeters makes aerial photographs for various clients and applications. Are you interested in LiDAR data? We are happy to inform you about the possibilities. Feel free to contact us; we are ready to answer your questions.
